ForestWatch® operates in the visual and near infra-red spectrums and can therefore operate throughout the hours of darkness to detect smoke and the source of forest fires.

Eagle Eye Protection’s ForestWatch® operates in the visible colour spectrum, not only in black and white like some other automated systems. This gives it the advantage of observing more shades and ranges of colour than a black and white system, giving it a higher rate of detection of smoke and a lower rate of false alarms.

ForestWatch® can accurately locate the position of a fire using digital elevation data without the need for triangulation of that position from other cameras. This greatly enhances both the speed and accuracy of location finding and reporting.
